In sensitive industries and especially in the food industry or pharmaceutical and medical environment is important to avoid creating of any contaminants form glass fragments and leak of chemicals by braking the glass shell of the lamps. This provides fixed connection of the glass with the sockets by using flexible plastic protective coating. In risky application allows the character of these lamps their use especially in open luminaires. The protective sheath prevents leaking of ultraviolet components of the spectrum which is required mainly in special applications.
